Blaster lose exciting contest to Warriors

Aananda Warriors handed Aananda Blasters their first loss of the season.

Batting first against the best bowling line up of the league, Blasters started off bad with both openers back in the pavillion without scoring any runs.

Captain Ankit Stephen and Ashutosh Vyas tried to steady the innings picking up sharp ones and twos before one such single cost Ankit his wicket.

Some late charge by Nikhilesh and contribution from lower order set a defendable total for Blasters scoring 35 off their 8 overs.

Warriors started off badly loosing their first wicket of Vijay Chanchlani in the very first over with no runs on the board.

Mohit Kotwani however did well on the other end hitting 2 fours and a 6 in his 14 of 7 balls to get Warriors on track.

Some tight bowling from Ashutosh Vyas and Nikhlesh in middle overs saw the wickets fall and runs go down.

With 4 runs to get off last over, Prashant Sharma lofted Vinod Bihari Vyas for six to seal the victory for Warriors.

Vinod Bihari Vyas also conceded 3 penalty runs for fake fielding which in the end proved costly for Blasters causing them to lose the match which they should have won.
